Head of Data, Analytics (Governance)- 12 Month Contract - Hybrid in London - Inside IR35

Role Overview

We are looking for a Head of Data & Analytics Office (DAO) Governance to join on a 12-month hybrid contract based in London.

The role leads governance and reporting for a Group Chief Data & Analytics Officer, working with senior stakeholders regionally and globally across a cross-functional CTO COO Governance team - covering Board and regulatory governance, committee management, and strategic change delivery within a large, complex financial services environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead oversight of all Board and regulatory governance requirements for Data & Analytics, engaging senior leaders to prepare Board-appropriate papers and materials, and managing regulatory requests and questionnaires from bodies including the FCA and PRA
  • Oversee the continuing development and improvement of Data & Analytics governance frameworks and processes, ensuring compliance with Group and CTO policies and standards, and refreshing governance models in line with bank policy
  • Organise and manage DAO governance committees acting as secretariat, preparing and coordinating committee papers, communications, and materials for the Data & Analytics Leadership Team
  • Design high-quality presentations and visuals for diverse senior audiences, ensuring consistency in messaging across CTO COO and DAO deliverables locally and globally
  • Lead end-to-end project delivery from strategic planning through to BAU transition using Agile and Waterfall frameworks, driving continuous improvement across governance and delivery processes

  • Strong governance expertise including committee management, regulatory engagement, and ensuring submissions meet completeness, evidence, and risk articulation standards in a regulated financial services environment
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage high volumes of concurrent requests and ad-hoc projects with short lead times, triaging and prioritising effectively across shifting priorities
  • Strong senior stakeholder management and influencing capability, including pre-briefs, alignment, and securing approvals across cross-functional teams at regional and global level
  • Ability to translate complex governance, data, and technology messages into simple, compelling communications for mixed audiences - comfortable operating in ambiguity and driving clarity through structure and collaboration

  • Rate: £575 per day Inside IR35
  • Location: Hybrid (2x a week) in London
