Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the Cabinet Office's cyber security operations function, providing strategic direction and coordinating day-to-day delivery of security capabilities.
• Work closely with the Deputy Director of Cyber and Information Security to design and implement the department's cyber security strategy.
• Deputise for the Deputy Director as required, attending senior leadership and programme boards.
• Manage the technical response to major cyber security incidents and vulnerabilities.
• Identify and deliver opportunities for continual improvement of the security operations function.
• Brief senior stakeholders on cyber security threats, vulnerabilities, incidents, and mitigations.
• Collaborate with other cyber and information security functions to enhance overall capabilities.
• Ensure an end-to-end approach to cyber security across the Cabinet Office.
• Work with external authorities for knowledge sharing and collaboration.
• Lead and manage senior and lead analysts within the team.
