Key Responsibilities:
- Lead cyber governance and oversee regulatory readiness aligned with FCA expectations.
- Stabilize and uplift the cyber security posture during the permanent recruitment process.
- Influence Board members and provide senior SME guidance.
- Support ongoing initiatives and ensure robust risk and resilience frameworks.
- Define and track cyber risk metrics, dashboards, and Board-level reporting.
- Manage senior stakeholders, regulators, executive committees, and programme leads.
- Provide a structured handover to the incoming permanent Head of Cyber Security.
Key Skills:
- Experience with UK FCA-regulated organizations.

The role focuses on cyber security governance, FCA-aligned regulatory oversight, operational resilience uplift, and embedding a pragmatic risk culture across a high-growth FinTech environment.
Assignment Details
- Initial Duration : 6 months (potential to extend)
- Location : Hybrid with occasional London on-site leadership days
- Day Rate : £900 per day PAYE, plus 12.07% holiday accrual (No umbrella company fees and no employer's NI & Tax deductions).

Role Overview
In this assignment, you’ll step in as Interim Head of Cyber Security to stabilise, govern and uplift the cyber security posture during an active permanent recruitment process. You’ll lead cyber governance, oversee regulatory readiness, and ensure alignment with FCA expectations across a cloud-native, rapidly scaling organisation. The role is leadership-focused rather than operational SOC work. You’ll influence Board members, provide senior SME guidance, support ongoing initiatives, and ensure risk and resilience frameworks remain robust during a period of transition. A clear handover to the incoming permanent Head of Cyber Security will be required at the end of the engagement. All candidates must pass standard screening including Right to Work, employment verification and credit criminal checks.
