Summary: The Head of Cyber Defence will lead the Cyber Defence function for a bank, overseeing Security Operations, Identity & Access Management, and Threat Intelligence. This role involves managing day-to-day security tasks, ensuring compliance with regulations, and developing strategies for continuous improvement in Cyber Defence services. The position requires collaboration with vendors and internal teams to mitigate risks and enhance security measures. The contract is set to last until the end of December.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop the Bank Cyber Defence function, including Security Operations and Threat Intelligence.
  • Guide vendors and third parties supporting the Cyber Defence team.
  • Implement tools and processes for compliance with regulations and obligations.
  • Manage daily security and audit tasks associated with the Cyber Defence Function.
  • Oversee and manage Security Operational incidents and events.
  • Build a strategy and improvement plan for Cyber Defence services.
  • Develop threat intelligence strategies to enhance Cyber Defence services.
  • Provide input on Cyber Defence requirements for change initiatives.
  • Support teams in utilizing threat intelligence and security monitoring.
  • Identify and mitigate Cyber Defence risks faced by the Bank.
  • Perform regular testing of processes and update documentation accordingly.
  • Ensure adequate out-of-hours support in line with the operating model.

Key Skills:

  • Extensive experience in Cyber Defence and Security Operations.
  • Strong knowledge of Identity & Access Management and Vulnerability Management.
  • Experience with compliance regulations and working with regulatory bodies.
  • Ability to manage security incidents and operational tasks effectively.
  • Strategic thinking and capability to develop continuous improvement plans.
  • Strong communication skills for collaboration with vendors and internal teams.
  • Experience in threat intelligence and risk management.
  • Ability to perform testing and documentation updates.
  • Leadership skills to guide and develop teams.
  • Experience in providing out-of-hours support.
