Head of Accounting Technology (Oracle Fusion) - Investment Bank

Summary: The Head of Accounting Technology will oversee a team managing the Bank's accounting technologies, ensuring support and enhancements for systems like General Ledger and Financial Accounting Hub. This role emphasizes governance, compliance with regulatory requirements, and the delivery of a sustainable accounting technology model. The position requires collaboration with various financial functions and adherence to the software development lifecycle (SDLC). The Head will also focus on service execution to maintain a reliable accounting technology environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage a team of on-shore and off-shore technologists servicing Finance’s Accounting & General Ledger requirements.
• Support and enhance accounting technologies including General Ledger, Financial Accounting Hub, and other financial management systems.
• Hold regular BAU meetings and ensure adherence to the SDLC with appropriate QA for changes.
• Shape functional and technical design of accounting platforms while ensuring compliance with EMEA IT Risk and Control and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure reliable, robust, sustainable, and efficient accounting technology operating model through effective service execution.

Key Skills:

• Understanding of technology used in Finance and experience with General Ledger management and financial reporting.
• Knowledge of core financial sub ledgers such as invoices and payments.
• Experience in a large global organization with multiple entities and currencies.
• Proven track record of successful project delivery using on-premise and cloud-based technologies.
• Experience with Oracle Fusion Financial / Oracle e-Business suite, MS SQL Server, and SSRS.
• Skills in Databases, ETL, XML, and MQ Middleware tools.
