Role Description: We are on the lookout for a visionary and seasoned leader to take on the role of Head Data & AI. This pivotal position will be instrumental in guiding the organisation towards a culture of data-driven decision-making while leveraging the transformative capabilities of artificial intelligence, all while prioritising compliance and ethical standards.
Key Area of Accountabilities:
- Data Management (DATM): Craft and execute comprehensive plans, policies, and practises that safeguard, manage, and maximise the value of data assets organisation-wide.
- Strategic Planning (ITSP): Formulate and uphold organisational strategies that align business actions, resources, and objectives with overarching business goals.
- Artificial Intelligence & Data Ethics (AIDE): Champion ethical practises in the design, development, deployment, and utilisation of AI and data technologies to protect the interests of all stakeholders.
- Information Assurance (INAS): Manage risks associated with data and information systems to ensure the integrity and security of all data usage, storage, and transmission.
- Information and Data Compliance (PEDP): Ensure organisational compliance with relevant data management regulations and legislation, safeguarding legal adherence.
- Data Modelling and Design (DTAN): Create models and diagrams that effectively communicate and manage data requirements and assets.
- Data Analytics Drive data-informed decision-making by extracting, analysing, and presenting insights from both structured and unstructured data sources.
- Data Science (DATS): Utilise statistical methods, data mining, and predictive modelling to extract meaningful insights, anticipate behaviours, and add value from data.
- Machine Learning (MLNG): Develop adaptive systems that learn from data and experiences, enhancing performance and accuracy in evolving environments.
- Data Engineering: Architect, build, secure, and oversee data pipelines, storage solutions, and real-time processing systems for robust and scalable data management.
- Governance: Establish and implement frameworks for governance, risk management, stakeholder interactions, and adherence to regulatory requirements.
- Stakeholder Relationship Management: Proactively analyse, cultivate, and manage stakeholder relationships to foster mutually beneficial outcomes through structured engagement.
Knowledge, Experience and Technical Know-How:
- Significant experience in a senior leadership role focused on Data and/or AI.
- Demonstrated ability to operate at the ‘C’ and Board level and foster strong relationships at all organisational levels.
- Proficiency in translating technical terminology into business contexts to garner understanding and sponsorship for strategies and outcomes.
- Deep knowledge of contemporary and emerging technology trends and best practises.
- Experience in navigating heavily matrixed organisations with a strong focus on achieving results.
- Solid understanding and practical experience of governance, risk management, compliance, and controls pertaining to Data and AI.
