Summary: The HDRC Community Researcher role at Surrey County Council focuses on championing community voice and conducting participatory research on health determinants. Key Responsibilities:
- Champion community voice and design participatory research on health determinants.
- Provide participatory research skills to the HDRC team.
- Support public involvement workstream and engage Surrey residents in research activities.
- Increase local authorities' capacity for participatory research.
- Promote participatory research methods across Surrey.
- Gather and analyze evidence to improve health outcomes for residents.
Key Skills:
- A degree in Social Policy, Public Health, Social Research, Community Development, or equivalent experience.
- Knowledge and experience of public engagement in academic/research/local government settings.
- Experience with methodologies for effective community engagement.
- Ability to inspire and equip others in public involvement and community engagement.
- Demonstrable skills in co-production and participatory research methods.
