Hardware Test Engineer

Summary: The Hardware Test Engineer role involves responsibility for hardware testing and producing test reports, including collaboration with external test houses. The position requires optimizing testing scripts and tools to enhance efficiency while supporting design and development teams in product evaluation. Additionally, the engineer will create and develop test plans for new technologies and products.

• Responsible for hardware testing and producing test reports, including at external test houses.
• Optimizing scripts and test tools to improve overall test efficiency.
• Support the Design and Development teams with product testing and evaluation, recommending further investigation if required.
• Create and develop test plans for new technologies and new products.

• Engineering mindset and eagerness to learn new skills.
• Experience using electronics test equipment such as oscilloscopes, digital multi-meters, and spectrum analyzers.
• Background in Electronics.
• Knowledge of compliance standards such as EMC, Radio, and Safety.
• Experience in using test and validation methodology and scripts to test hardware and/or systems/platforms.
• Understanding of how to sort and present test data to illustrate the outcome of testing.
• Experience in working with developers to design test cases for new products/technology (non-essential).
• Experience in summarizing technical information with varying levels of detail, depending on the audience (non-essential).
• Some experience in managing a test workstack (non-essential).
• Some experience with Python coding and scripting (non-essential).
