Summary: The Hardware Engineer role is a contract position focused on the design, testing, and analysis of Diesel Fuel Injection Equipment systems. The position involves customer engagement, component testing, and collaboration with design teams to ensure performance and life requirements are met. Key Responsibilities:
- Designing, testing, and analysing parts of the Diesel Fuel Injection Equipment (FiE) system
- Engaging in discussions with customers, understanding customer evaluations, and presenting results
- Conducting component testing of injector pumps and rails
- Performing detailed analysis, collaborating with the hardware design team, and reporting findings to customers
- Providing customer support functions across Europe with small dedicated teams
- Supporting system teams in performance aspects such as rail pressure and injector calibration
- Ensuring component design and customer utilisation meet performance and life requirements
Key Skills:
- Experience in Mechanical Engineering within Automotive, Off-Highway, or Aviation sectors
- Understanding of Design Life Cycle in related fields
- Experience in validation, testing, and reporting
- Ability to work under pressure and deliver high-quality outcomes
