Hardware Electronics Test Engineer

Summary: The Hardware Electronics Test Engineer role involves conducting hardware testing and producing detailed test reports, including collaboration with external test houses. The engineer will optimize testing scripts and tools, support design and development teams, and create test plans for new technologies and products. This position is fully onsite in Brentwood, UK, and is offered as a 12-month contract.

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for hardware testing and producing test reports, including at external test houses.
• Optimizing scripts and test tools to improve overall test efficiency.
• Support the Design and Development teams with product testing and evaluation, recommending further investigation if required.
• Create and develop test plans for new technologies and new products.

• Engineering mindset and eagerness to learn new skills.
• Experience using electronics test equipment such as oscilloscopes, digital multi-meters, and spectrum analyzers.
• Background in Electronics.
• Knowledge of compliance standards such as EMC, Radio, and Safety.
• Experience in using test and validation methodology and scripts to test hardware and/or systems/platforms.
• Understanding of how to sort and present test data to illustrate the outcome of testing.
• Experience in working with developers to design test cases for new products/technology (non-essential).
• Experience in summarizing technical information with varying levels of detail, depending on the audience (non-essential).
• Some experience in managing a test workstack (non-essential).
• Some experience with Python coding and scripting (non-essential).
