Are you an Hardware Design Engineer that wants to work in a true R&D environment on the latest and cutting edge and state of the art building automation products? Do you want to work on the latest cutting edge projects in the fields of Automation, Access Control and IoT for a national leading business with fantastic staff retention with most members being 10+ years in service?
This company offers a truly R&D focused environment where you will be tasked with designing the latest wearables, IoT devices, access control and the next generation of metering systems. This role is focussed on R&D for their latest product suite and future products due to be released for new industries like health & leisure, wearables & telecoms. This business has gone from strength to strength over the last decade and is quickly becoming one of Scotland's leading names in the Smart Energy sector that are tier one suppliers for the likes of EDF, Npower and David Lloyds.
The ideal candidate will be someone that genuinely enjoys R&D projects, have experience in Altium for PCB design and be happy to manage the verification and validation for product releases.
THE ROLE:
- Design and build of PCB's and Electrical systems for a range of IoT products
- Use Altium for PCB design and layouts
- Work alongside internal project managers to understand their requirements
- Work with the R&D Team to help build cutting edge automation products
THE PERSON:
- Have experience writing code in PCB Design
- Experience with IoT
- Be able to commute to Dundee on occasion or work remotely
