Summary: The Health & Safety Co-Ordinator role involves supporting daily safety operations within a multi-service environment as part of a significant transformation programme in a large operational organisation. The position focuses on ensuring compliance, proactive risk management, and fostering a positive safety culture. This is an initial 6-month contract with a strong possibility of extension as the Health & Safety team expands. Candidates should have relevant experience and qualifications in Health & Safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct workplace inspections and safety audits to identify potential hazards
- Support the organisation in maintaining compliance with health and safety legislation
- Prepare and maintain risk assessments, incident reports, and safety documentation
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, identifying root causes and preventative actions
- Deliver safety inductions and training where required
- Promote and support a positive health and safety culture across operational teams
Key Skills:
- Experience working in a Health & Safety role within an operational environment
- Confident conducting risk assessments and site inspections
- Good knowledge of UK health & safety legislation
- Strong communication skills and the ability to influence safety behaviours
- Relevant H&S qualification (NEBOSH or equivalent preferred)

As part of this investment, they are looking to appoint a Health & Safety Co-Ordinator as well as a Health & Safety Advisor on an initial 6-month contract, with a strong possibility of extension.

The Role
