Summary: The Guidewire Transformation Director will lead and deliver large-scale insurance transformation programmes for a leading Insuretech client. This role focuses on defining and executing the transformation strategy across Guidewire platforms, ensuring alignment with business objectives and operational efficiency. The director will interface with C-suite stakeholders and oversee multiple workstreams while managing third-party vendors and programme teams. Successful adoption and business readiness are also key responsibilities of this position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the end-to-end transformation strategy and delivery of Guidewire programmes across the organisation
- Own programme governance, ensuring delivery is on time, on budget, and aligned to business outcomes
- Act as the senior interface between C-suite stakeholders, business units, and technology teams
- Drive business transformation, including process redesign, operating model evolution, and change management
- Oversee multiple workstreams (business, technology, data, integration, testing, and deployment)
- Ensure alignment with Guidewire best practices and target architecture
- Manage third-party vendors, system integrators, and delivery partners
- Lead programme teams, including Programme Managers, Business Analysts, Architects, and Delivery Leads
- Drive risk management, issue resolution, and stakeholder communication at executive level
- Ensure successful adoption and business readiness, including training, UAT, and post-implementation support
Key Skills:
- Proven experience leading large-scale Guidewire transformation programmes (PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter, BillingCenter)
- Strong background in insurance / InsurTech environments
- Demonstrated experience at Director / Programme Director level, leading complex, multi-country programmes
- Experience managing budgets, governance, and delivery across global teams
- Strong understanding of digital transformation, cloud, and modern insurance platforms
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, including CIO, CTO, COO, and business leadership engagement
- Experience with Guidewire Cloud transformations
- Background in data migration, integration architecture, and API-driven ecosystems
- Experience with Agile at scale (SAFe or similar frameworks)
- Guidewire certifications or relevant transformation credentials
