Summary: The Guidewire PolicyCenter Senior Developer role involves extensive expertise in Guidewire PolicyCenter, focusing on configuration, integration, and performance optimization. Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and configure Guidewire PolicyCenter, including typelists, entities, PCFs, workflows, and rules engine.
  • Integrate Guidewire with external systems using REST and other integration mechanisms.
  • Profile and debug PolicyCenter performance issues, implementing caching strategies and efficient querying.
  • Collaborate with business analysts and product owners to clarify requirements and provide technical solutions.
  • Participate in solution discussions and contribute to continuous improvements and new features.
  • Review design documents and user story estimations, driving technical solution sessions.
  • Guide developers in leveraging out-of-the-box Guidewire functionality and custom solutions.
  • Participate in defect triage meetings and provide technical inputs and guidance.

Key Skills:

  • Extensive experience with Guidewire PolicyCenter and its data model.
  • Strong programming skills in Gosu, with knowledge of inheritance, polymorphism, and exception handling.
  • Experience with Guidewire integration mechanisms, including Messaging and Web Services.

description: Guidewire PolicyCenter Senior Developer - London/hybrid - 6 months - £500 - 728 Skills/experience Extensive experience with Guidewire PolicyCenter 1. Core Guidewire Knowledge (PolicyCenter) Strong understanding of PolicyCenter data model and business processes. Hands-on experience with Gosu programming (inheritance, polymorphism, exception handling). Deep knowledge of APD, Product Model, Job Lifecycle, and Policy Transactions (new business, renewal, endorsement, cancellation) and PMT tool Expertise in Configuring PolicyCenter (typelists, entities, PCFs, workflows, rules engine). 2. Guidewire Integration Expertise Experience with Guidewire Integration mechanisms (Messaging, Web Services, Plugins, Batch Processes). Working knowledge of GX Model & Edge APIs,. Hands-on experience integrating with external systems using REST. Understanding of event-driven processing (messaging triggers). 3. Database Knowledge Experience working with Guidewire Data Model and database schema. Support the creation a data feed from Guidewire PolicyCenter V10/V9 and Cloud (nice to have) 4.
