Summary: We are looking for a skilled Guidewire Architect to lead the architecture, design, and implementation of Guidewire InsuranceSuite solutions. The role demands extensive technical expertise in PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter, and BillingCenter, along with strong knowledge of the P&C insurance domain. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with various stakeholders to deliver scalable and high-quality solutions. This position is hybrid, requiring 2-3 days onsite in San Jose, CA.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define and own the end-to-end architecture for Guidewire InsuranceSuite implementations.
- Lead solution design across PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter, and/or BillingCenter.
- Make architectural decisions on configuration vs. customization following Guidewire best practices.
- Guide development teams on Gosu, PCF, product model, rules, and rating design.
- Design and oversee integrations with internal and third-party systems (REST/SOAP, messaging).
- Ensure performance, scalability, security, and upgrade readiness of Guidewire solutions.
- Support Guidewire upgrades, cloud migrations, and modernization initiatives.
- Provide technical leadership, code reviews, and mentorship to Guidewire teams.
- Collaborate with QA, DevOps, and business teams to ensure successful releases.
- Participate in architecture reviews, risk assessments, and stakeholder presentations.
Key Skills:
- 8+ years of overall IT experience with 5+ years in Guidewire InsuranceSuite.
- Strong hands-on experience with Guidewire PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter, and/or BillingCenter.
- Deep knowledge of P&C insurance processes and policy/claims lifecycles.
- Expertise in Gosu, PCF, product model configuration, rules, and rating engine.
- Experience with Guidewire integrations, batch framework, and data migration.
- Proven experience as a Technical Architect, Solution Architect, or Tech Lead on Guidewire programs.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work in a hybrid onsite/offshore delivery model.
