We're a vibrant, fast-paced leading food manufacturer. Employing around 13,600 colleagues across 16 manufacturing units and 17 distribution depots across the UK. We supply all the UK's food retailers with everything from Sandwiches, soups and sushi to cooking sauces, pickles and ready meals, and in FY23, we generated revenues of £1.9bn. Our vast direct-to-store (DTS) distribution network, comprising of 17 depots nationwide, enables us to make over 10,400 daily deliveries of our own chilled and frozen produce and that of third parties.

What you'll be doing

We are looking for a Supplier Auditor on a 12 month FTC, to undertake supplier approval audits to ensure finished products are safe and conform to all relevant specifications, legislation, and customer requirements. Carry out risk assessed audits and approval of the supplier base for manufacturing sites in order to demonstrate food safety, compliance and legality are being met Comprehensive understanding of supplier requirements in order to ensure delivery of technical food safety criteria for the manufacturing sites Ensure Food Safety audits and approvals are conducted on an appropriate, risk assessed schedule whilst also ensuring other Manufacturing requirements are met from an auditing perspective (e.g. Emergency audits, new supplier approval audits, innovation auditing and investigations) Communication of best practice and suggest ways of working to ensure effectiveness across the group from a compliance and technical standards perspective Ensure up to date technical policies and procedures are operational and aligned to best practice from a legal and customer compliance perspective.
