Summary: The Group HR Advisor role at Bellway involves providing comprehensive HR support and advice in alignment with company policies and employment legislation. This fixed-term position for 12 months focuses on coaching managers, managing employee relations, and supporting HR projects across multiple divisions. The role requires a proactive approach to enhance colleague engagement and drive positive change within the HR team. The position is office-based with some travel required across the UK.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide business-focused HR advice and support on policies and procedures, primarily via phone and Microsoft Teams.
  • Coach and mentor managers to enhance their confidence and competence in managing HR cases.
  • Support managers with full case management on HR matters including disciplinary, grievances, and performance management.
  • Assist with Group-wide HR projects and initiatives as needed.
  • Analyze and manage HR data, ensuring effective communication with Divisions.
  • Support the Group HR Manager and Director in driving improvements within the HR team.

Key Skills:

  • Experience as a generalist HR Advisor in a busy commercial environment.
  • Proficiency in handling a wide range of employee relations matters.
  • Experience with multi-site HR and remote HR management.
  • Thorough understanding of current and forthcoming HR legislation.
  • GCSE Maths and English at Grade 4/C or equivalent.
  • CIPD qualified or working towards it.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Excellent administration and organizational skills.
  • High attention to detail and discretion.
  • Proficient IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Office.
  • Commitment to diversity and inclusion.
