Client Details: Small and growing organisation based in Medway.

Description

Reporting into the MD, as Group Head of Finance responsibilities will include:

Lead the finance function across UK and European entities, ensuring robust financial controls, governance and compliance.

Prepare and review accurate monthly management accounts and month-end reporting packs, delivering insightful analysis to support strategic decision-making.

Oversee the timely production of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements for all group entities.

Take ownership of statutory accounts preparation and coordinate year-end audits, acting as the primary point of contact for external auditors.

Manage and submit all indirect tax reporting, including VAT returns, CIS returns and associated compliance requirements.

Lead cash flow management, forecasting and liquidity planning, providing accurate short and long-term forecasts to support business growth.

Manage foreign exchange exposures and international transactions, ensuring appropriate controls and risk management processes are in place.

Oversee inventory controls and stock take processes, ensuring accurate valuation and reporting of stock holdings.

Manage payroll processes, ensuring accurate and timely payment of employees and compliance with relevant legislation.

Lead budgeting and forecasting cycles.

Mentor, coach and develop a small finance team, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement and professional development.

Profile

  • Qualified / Qualified by Experience with experience at a Head of Finance / Finance Director level
  • Experience of managing and mentoring small teams is absolutely essential as this is a very important part of the role
  • Experience of cashflow modelling and FOREX
  • Managing payroll
  • Experience of managing stock as well as experience of using Sage 200 would be useful although not essential.

Job Offer

£75,000-£85,000 dependent on experience
