Group Financial Controller

Summary: The Group Financial Controller role is a fixed-term contract position for 12-18 months within a global creative agency, reporting to the Finance Director and Group CFO. The position encompasses comprehensive financial and management accounting responsibilities, including group consolidation and financial control. The successful candidate will also support and coach the finance team while ensuring the integrity of financial information and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and prepare month-end management accounts, including P&L, Balance Sheet, Forecast, and cash flow.
• Oversee inter-company billing and reconciliation of balances.
• Prepare year-end accounts and liaise with auditors for efficient audit processes.
• Ensure effective working capital management and timely debtors’ settlement.
• Prepare annual budgets and conduct analyses for decision-making on budget allocations.
• Provide insights into business performance and review financial KPIs against budgets.
• Assist with the implementation of new accounting systems and identify process improvements.
• Consolidate group month-end reporting and coordinate quarterly reforecasts and annual budgets.
• Design and develop group tools and templates for financial reporting.
• Perform ad hoc tasks as requested by the Global CFO.

Key Skills:

• Fully qualified Accountant (ACCA/ACA).
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Senior Finance Manager/Financial Controller.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines.
• Intermediate-advanced knowledge of Excel.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality financial reporting.
• Experience in a creative agency with knowledge of agency financial reporting.
• Proactive growth mindset and a "can-do" attitude.
• Willingness to undertake a 12-18 month contract.

Salary (Rate): £85,000
