Group Financial Accountant Manager (15 Month Contract)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a technically strong qualified accountant to join a well-established organisation on a 15-month fixed-term contract. Combining technical accounting, financial control and stakeholder engagement, the role offers broad exposure across reporting, compliance and governance activities within a growing and dynamic organisation.

Client Details

Our client is a highly innovative and rapidly growing organisation operating within the renewable energy and technology sector, based in the North Lincolnshire area. Description

  • Leading monthly and annual group consolidations across multiple entities.
  • Preparing statutory financial statements under IFRS and UK GAAP.
  • Managing intercompany reconciliations and consolidation adjustments.
  • Supporting board reporting, budgeting and forecasting activities.
  • Owning group cash flow forecasting and liquidity management.
  • Managing treasury activities, including foreign exchange and banking relationships.
  • Coordinating corporation tax and other compliance submissions with external advisers.
  • Maintaining robust financial controls, governance frameworks and audit processes.
  • Acting as the key contact for external auditors.
  • Producing technical accounting papers and supporting financial control reviews.
  • Line managing one team member.
  • Supporting senior leadership with analysis, insights and continuous improvement initiatives.

Profile

The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or equivalent) with strong technical accounting expertise and experience operating within a group reporting environment, available to start in September or October.

  • Strong knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP.
  • Previous experience preparing group consolidations and statutory accounts.
  • Exposure to treasury, tax and financial control activities.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • The ability to thrive in a fast-moving and evolving business.
  • A proactive, commercially minded approach with a willingness to build relationships across the wider organisation.

Job Offer

  • Salary of £65,000 - £85,000 depending on experience.
