Summary: The Group Accountant role is an interim position within a global hospitality brand located in Central London, requiring a qualified accountant to manage various financial responsibilities. The role involves hands-on tasks related to reporting, audit, and transactional accounting for a multi-entity business. The successful candidate will support the Head Office finance function and ensure compliance with IFRS and UK GAAP standards. This position is ideal for someone with strong technical accounting knowledge and advanced Excel skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage accounts payable processes including supplier invoice posting, statement reconciliations, banking transactions, and credit card/employee expense processing
• Maintain accurate monthly P&L postings and balance sheet controls for head office entities
• Prepare IFRS financial statements and assist with group-level covenant reporting to lenders
• Lead year-end audit processes and the preparation of statutory accounts for FY24
• Support the preparation of weekly cash flow forecasts and intercompany loan schedules
• Post journals, manage accruals, and complete balance sheet reconciliations including bank and cash book
• Collaborate with tax advisors to support the group's tax compliance, computations, and filings
• Provide transactional accounting support across holding company entities

Key Skills:

• ACA/ACCA/CA or fully qualified equivalent
• Strong IFRS & UK GAAP technical accounting knowledge
• Experience in group consolidations and exposure to an international business
• Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical ability
• Hands-on, detail-oriented, and able to work autonomously
