They are currently seeking a Big 4/Top10 audit trained, Group Accountant for an 18-month maternity cover position.Job Responsibilities:Management of the group consolidation process (including approval of all accounting entries).Preparation of listed entity financial statements; ideally within US GAAP, IFRS and SOX 404 practical applications.Managing and overseeing the audit process, including agreeing timetables and ensuring timely delivery of audit information.Lead and manage the anticipated transition project from US GAAP to IFRS, including review of implementation of IFRS within the existing ERP (MS D365)Preparation of the quarterly management report and providing commentaries to management.Provision of additional explanations and analysis as required.Researching technical accounting issues and preparation of accounting memos for non-routine commercial transactions.Assistance in ad hoc projects as required.Requirements:Qualified accountant (CA/ACA/ACCA/CPA) ideally with exposure to the shipping or energy industry;Prior Big 4/Top 10 audit experience is essentialStrong technical accounting skills including knowledge of reporting under IFRS/US GAAP;Robust knowledge of accounting standards, financial compliance and focus on financial control and stewardshipHighly organised, able to prioritise and effective time management
