Summary: The Group Account Director (GAD) role at We Are Futures involves leading a portfolio of clients to drive sustainable growth while building strong senior client relationships. The GAD will oversee multiple accounts and contribute to new business pitches, ensuring high-quality delivery across various teams. This is a one-year fixed-term maternity cover contract based in London.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead growth across a client portfolio (up to £2m)
- Build trusted senior client relationships and act as a strategic partner
- Identify opportunities and deliver against revenue and performance goals
- Lead and contribute to new business pitches
- Provide clear direction to internal teams to support strong delivery
- Oversee commercial performance, forecasting, and reporting
- Support and develop team members in a collaborative environment
Key Skills:
- Experience in a similar senior agency role (3+ years or equivalent)
- Proven success in client development and building long-term partnerships
- Strong leadership experience, with the ability to guide and develop teams
- Motivated and proactive, with a focus on growth and client success
- Strong account leadership skills, including commercial awareness and strategic thinking
- Experience managing clients or stakeholders within a client service environment (e.g. marketing, PR, experiential)
- Experience or interest in CSR, social impact, youth engagement, PR, experiential, or digital is a plus

The Role
We’re looking for a strategic and commercially minded Group Account Director (GAD) for a 1 year Fixed-Term Maternity Cover contract to lead a portfolio of clients and drive sustainable growth. You’ll build strong senior client relationships, identify opportunities, and shape solutions that deliver meaningful impact. Reporting to a Board Director, you’ll own multiple accounts, lead their development, and play a key role in new business pitches. Working across Strategy, Marketing & Comms, Content, and Creative, you’ll align teams around a clear vision and ensure high-quality delivery.
