Job Opportunity: Graphic Designer

Location: Cubitt Town, Greater London

Contract Type: 6 months + extension)

Daily Rate: £350 - £400 per day Inside IR35

Work type: 2 days per week into office.

Join our client's Strategic Infrastructure team, driving The Great Grid Upgrade-the most extensive overhaul of the electricity grid in generations. This initiative is set to deliver cleaner, more affordable energy to homes and businesses, and we need your creative talents to help communicate this vital mission.

Your Role:

As the Designer - Strategic Infrastructure, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering high-quality visual assets that resonate with our key audiences. Reporting to the Director of Creative Services, you will ensure that all visual communications adhere to brand guidelines and accessibility standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Design & Creative Execution:

- Translate complex information into engaging visual designs.

- Create maps, graphics, infographics, presentation decks, and printed collateral.

- Develop scalable, brand-aligned templates for various digital and print formats.

Brand Governance & Compliance:

- Execute all creative work in adherence to brand standards.

- Identify and recommend improvements for any inconsistencies or accessibility issues.

- Ensure oversight and approval processes are followed.

Collaboration & Delivery:

- Serve as a dedicated creative partner within the Strategic Infrastructure team.

- Manage multiple projects, deadlines, and feedback cycles effectively.

- Collaborate with internal teams, freelancers, and agencies to deliver outstanding results.

What You'll Need:

  • 3-5 years of experience in graphic design, brand design, UX/UI design, or related fields, backed by a strong portfolio.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, PowerPoint, Word, Figma, and Canva.
  • Strong attention to detail and a knack for production accuracy and file organisation.
  • Ability to manage time efficiently and articulate creative decisions effectively.
  • Experience working in an agile environment, incorporating feedback quickly.

Desirable Skills:

  • Familiarity with design systems and self-service tools.
  • Experience producing visual content for infrastructure projects.
  • Knowledge of video editing and the ability to create engaging short-form videos.

Qualifications:

Relevant qualification in graphic design, visual communication, digital design, or a related field.
