Graphic Designer

Summary: The Graphic Designer role at a public sector organization in Cambuslang involves producing various corporate materials and advising on design solutions. This position requires collaboration with different departments and external suppliers while maintaining compliance with legislative requirements. The contract is initially for three months and offers a hybrid working arrangement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the production of corporate reports, training materials, exhibition material, advertisements, and other corporate materials.
• Advise on corporate image, design style, and cost-effective creative solutions.
• Liaise with other areas of the organization regarding video/photographic requirements and exhibitions.
• Assist in setting up venues for the organization as required.
• Liaise with external print companies and product suppliers.
• Work to agreed deadlines and keep individuals informed of progress.
• Maintain adequate job records and filing systems.
• Maintain stock materials according to financial procedures and budget levels.
• Comply with all relevant legislative requirements, policies, and procedures.

Key Skills:

• Relevant qualification such as minimum HNC in graphic design or equivalent experience.
• Excellent IT skills, especially with design and photo-editing software.
• Familiarity with design software and technologies (Adobe Creative Cloud, InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop).
• A strong portfolio of illustrations or other graphics.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Accuracy and attention to detail.
• Exceptional creativity and innovation with passion for design.
• Ability to present complex issues to non-specialist staff.
