Summary: The Graduate Recruitment Manager role in the legal sector involves overseeing the recruitment processes and people systems within a leading set of chambers in Central London. This interim position requires strong HR, project management, and recruitment experience, with a focus on pupil recruitment and training. The successful candidate will report directly to the CEO and manage various HR functions while ensuring compliance with policies and regulations. The role is set to start ASAP, with a closing date for applications on September 19, 2025.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Organise and administer people systems, recruitment, onboarding and induction processes for barristers, staff and pupils.
  • Manage recruitment correspondence, interview administration, and liaison with candidates and agencies.
  • Oversee inductions, probation reviews, mentoring, buddy allocations, and exit processes.
  • Maintain the staff HR system, ensuring accurate employee data, holiday allocation and absence monitoring.
  • Manage the staff appraisal process and support staff learning and development opportunities.
  • Ensure compliance with GDPR and oversee LEX system administration.
  • Project manage and deliver the pupillage outreach and recruitment process end-to-end.
  • Coordinate contracts, BSB forms, feedback, and pupil supervisor training.
  • Administer the pupillage training process, including supervisor briefings and check-ins.
  • Manage the tenancy application process and provide ongoing support to pupils.
  • Provide updates to the Pupillage Committee Chairs and others, ensuring compliance with policy and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain accurate recruitment and pupillage diversity monitoring data.
  • Support implementation of Chambers’ Reasonable Adjustment and EDWI policies.
  • Contribute to chambers’ strategic objectives and promote its core values.

Key Skills:

  • Strong HR process and recruitment experience, including onboarding and induction.
  • Excellent project management, planning and organisational skills.
  • High IT literacy with strong Microsoft Office 365 skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail with ability to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, emotional intelligence, and ability to build stakeholder relationships.

  • Experience of managing pupillage recruitment and administration within a chambers (desirable).

Graduate Recruitment Manager Legal Sector Central London Hourly Rate £25.00-£30.00 Per Hour plus Holiday Pay Interim Contract – Start ASAP Closing Date Friday 19th of September 2025 Our client, a leading set of chambers in the legal sector, is currently looking for a Graduate Recruitment Manager on an interim contract basis If you have current or recent experience in HR, pupillage, recruitment and project management — ideally within the legal, chambers, or professional services environment — we would love to hear from you.

The Role of Graduate Recruitment Manager The primary purpose of this role is to organise Chambers’ people systems and recruitment processes, while project managing all aspects of pupil recruitment, training and support.
