The Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine is looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Graduate Finance Assistant to support its busy finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate in finance, accounting, or a related field to gain broad exposure across financial operations within a world-leading research institution. Working across both core operational and research accounts, the role provides hands-on experience in budgeting, forecasting, and preparing management accounts. You’ll assist in producing journals, reconciliations, supporting year-end audit processes, and collaborating with teams including Financial Planning and Reporting, Business Partnering, Financial Operations, and Procurement. You’ll gain insight into the full finance cycle, supporting accounts payable and receivable, learning about procurement processes, and contributing to the preparation of financial reports for internal and external stakeholders. You’ll also help maintain financial controls, ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, and support continuous improvement in reporting across the organisation.
