Summary: The Governance and Transparency Lead will oversee compliance and public transparency within a statutory regulatory environment, particularly in the UK public sector. This senior-level role involves managing operational delivery and providing strategic direction to a team focused on registration, compliance, and transparency. The position requires extensive experience in auditing regulated financial returns and maintaining sensitive relationships with political entities. Key Responsibilities:
- Manage large-scale operational delivery while providing strategic direction to the Registration, Compliance, and Transparency team.
- Oversee the receipt, auditing, and publication of regulated financial returns.
- Make evidence-based decisions under high pressure and political scrutiny.
- Manage sensitive relationships with political parties, campaigners, and government bodies.
- Oversee Quality Management Systems (QMS) and manage regulated financial data.
- Ensure information usage aligns with best-practice and statutory information management standards.
- Maintain the integrity of public registers through adherence to legislative requirements.

Senior-level experience within a statutory regulatory environment, specifically focusing on compliance, public transparency, or the oversight of registration systems (ideally within the UK public sector or political landscape)
Proven ability to act as part of a Senior Leadership Team (SLT), managing large-scale operational delivery while providing strategic direction to a Registration, Compliance, and Transparency team
Extensive experience in the receipt, auditing, and publication of regulated financial returns, making evidence-based decisions under high pressure and political scrutiny
Expert-level capability in managing sensitive relationships with political parties, campaigners, and government bodies
Proficiency in overseeing Quality Management Systems (QMS) and managing regulated financial data to ensure information usage aligns with best-practice and statutory information management standards.
Deep understanding of UK regulatory frameworks and the ability to maintain the integrity of public registers through rigorous adherence to legislative requirements.
