Summary: The Google Workspace Project Manager will lead a global migration of over 100,000 employees from Microsoft to Google Workspace, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations. This role requires a proven leader with extensive experience in large-scale Google Workspace deployments and exceptional stakeholder management skills. The candidate will oversee program delivery, risk management, and user adoption strategies while engaging with various stakeholders. The position is open to candidates based anywhere in EMEA, not just the UK.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, manage, and deliver the end-to-end Google Workspace implementation across 100,000 users.
  • Define and manage program scope, objectives, timelines, and deliverables aligned with business priorities.
  • Oversee migration planning, pilot programs, technical cutover, and post-implementation stabilization.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between executive leadership, business units, IT, and external partners.
  • Develop and execute a robust communication and change management strategy to support adoption.
  • Facilitate steering committees, working groups, and executive updates.
  • Identify program risks, dependencies, and blockers; develop and execute mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with security, regulatory, and data governance requirements throughout the migration.
  • Lead cross-functional teams of technical experts, change managers, and vendor partners.
  • Manage third-party consultants and system integrators to ensure high-quality delivery.
  • Partner with HR, L&D, and Communications to drive user training, engagement, and adoption.
  • Monitor adoption metrics and continuously improve user experience post-implementation.

Key Skills:

  • Proven experience delivering at least one large-scale Google Workspace implementation for an enterprise organization.
  • Strong track record managing global IT transformation programs in complex, matrixed environments.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and executive communication skills – able to influence, negotiate, and build consensus across senior leadership.
  • Solid understanding of Microsoft-to-Google migration strategies, coexistence models, and integration challenges.
  • Strong project management skills with expertise in methodologies such as Agile, PRINCE2, or PMP.
