Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement GCP networking architecture (VPCs, subnets, routing, firewall rules, hybrid connectivity)
- Build and manage infrastructure using Terraform modules
- Support and enhance CI/CD pipelines
- Deploy and manage containerised workloads using GKE
- Ensure secure, resilient and scalable cloud environments aligned to banking standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams across engineering and security
Key Skills:
- 5+ years’ hands-on GCP architecture and implementation experience
- Strong expertise in Google Cloud Networking
- Proven experience building and maintaining Terraform modules
- Experience with CI/CD tooling and DevOps practices
- Solid experience with Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE)
- Experience working within regulated or enterprise-scale environments (banking/financial services desirable)
Salary (Rate): £400 daily

A leading banking client is seeking an experienced GCP Consultant with strong GCP Networking expertise to join their cloud engineering team on an Outside IR35 contract. This is an initial 6-month engagement with strong potential for extension, supporting a major cloud transformation programme within a highly regulated banking environment.
The Role
You will play a key role in designing and implementing secure, scalable Google Cloud infrastructure, with a particular focus on networking architecture and best practice deployment. Working alongside platform engineers and security teams, you’ll contribute to the build and optimisation of GCP environments using Infrastructure as Code and modern DevOps practices.
