Summary: The Bank for International Settlements (BIS) is looking for a skilled GoldenSource Engineer to enhance and support critical Static and Reference Data systems utilized by central banks worldwide. The role requires strong technical expertise and experience in banking IT, focusing on delivering scalable and compliant solutions. The ideal candidate will lead operational support and customization of GoldenSource applications while ensuring effective stakeholder communication. This position is integral to the Banking IT team and involves participation in strategic projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead operational support for static and reference data systems.
  • Customize and enhance GoldenSource applications to meet business needs.
  • Analyse business processes and translate requirements into technical specifications.
  • Participate in strategic projects, ensuring quality, timelines, and budget adherence.
  • Manage application changes using standard governance protocols.
  • Develop and execute UAT plans in collaboration with users.
  • Ensure cross-functional coordination and effective stakeholder communication.

Key Skills:

  • 5+ years in banking IT, supporting business-critical applications.
  • 2+ years hands-on with GoldenSource or similar data management tools (customization, scripting).
  • Proficient in Java, SQL, Python, Powershell.
  • Strong knowledge of Linux and Oracle.
  • Excellent analytical, documentation, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience in project delivery, UAT coordination, and change management.
  • Familiarity with XML/JSON, reconciliation tools, and data governance.
  • Exposure to Podman, Kubernetes, and microservices.
  • Understanding of financial instruments and data models.
  • Experience with CI/CD, Kafka, and automation tools.
  • University degree or equivalent.
  • Strong communication and workshop facilitation.
  • Critical thinking and attention to detail.
  • Team-oriented and customer-focused.
