Summary: The Global Services Accountant at JDR Cable Systems plays a vital role in providing financial support to the EMEA Services Department and global service groups. This position involves ensuring accurate cost reporting, supporting project forecasting, and managing service contracts and overheads. Key Responsibilities:
- Validate and support admin tasks from the Services Operations team, including timesheets, travel costs, and materials, with awareness of regional tax implications.
- Ensure timely and accurate client invoicing with required documentation.
- Assist Project Coordinators in processing travel and labour costs against the correct project sales orders.
- Develop in-depth knowledge of service projects by attending internal meetings and reviewing contract documentation.
- Liaise with key departments to ensure accurate and consistent financial information sharing.
- Support project forecasting, including monthly phasing, with input from Project Managers and the wider finance team.
- Work with the Services Sales team to track Order Intake and project completion forecasts.
- Assist with the preparation of budgets and forecasts for both project activity and overheads.
- Provide financial support and reporting for the US Service Company and other global service locations as needed.
- Monitor and report on overhead spend and headcount across the Services business.
- Support the Group Financial Controller with ad hoc analysis for Global Services.
- Collaborate with the Project Cost Accounting team to meet month-end revenue recognition and reporting deadlines.

- Highly organised, accurate, and self-motivated with exceptional attention to detail.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Global Services Accountant to join our Finance team at JDR Cable Systems. This critical role provides financial support to our Europe, Middle East, and East Asia (EMEA) Services Department and offers wider support to our global service groups. The successful candidate will ensure accurate cost reporting, support project forecasting, and contribute to the financial management of service contracts and overheads across our global operations. Reporting to the Projects Financial Controller, the Global Services Accountant will work closely with Project Managers, Project Coordinators, and other service personnel to ensure costs are accurately posted in our ERP system (Visual). This includes supporting revenue and margin forecasting, assisting with budgeting and variance analysis, and ensuring timely and compliant client invoicing. The role also involves supporting global reporting requirements and monthly finance deadlines.
