Summary: The role of Global Process Owner (GPO) Lead involves spearheading the design and delivery of a Global Process Ownership function within a finance transformation context. The position requires an energetic specialist to influence senior leaders, streamline core finance processes, and ensure governance and consistency across various finance operations. This is a 12-month fixed-term contract based in Leeds, aimed at creating a sustainable finance operating model. The successful candidate will drive change and embed processes that enhance efficiency and accountability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define the scope, boundaries, and RACI for end-to-end Finance processes.
  • Establish governance forums and reporting structures to drive accountability.
  • Develop process principles, KPIs, and controls that drive consistency and transparency.
  • Spot and address inefficiencies, local variations, and harmonization opportunities.
  • Recommend and design the right finance operating model (centralized, hybrid, or federated).
  • Build career paths and capability frameworks for future Finance FPO roles.
  • Align Finance processes with ERP/SAP transformations and automation initiatives.
  • Introduce continuous improvement practices using Lean/Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Recruit or nominate permanent Finance GPOs and ensure a smooth transition to embed the new function sustainably.

Are you an energetic finance transformation specialist with a passion for driving change and building robust frameworks? Do you thrive when given the challenge of creating something new, influencing across all levels, and embedding processes that last? We’re looking for a Global Process Owner (GPO) Lead to spearhead the design, delivery, and handover of our Global Process Ownership function . This is a unique opportunity to make a lasting impact by ensuring our core Finance processes are streamlined, well-governed, and future-ready. Your role would be to lead on transformation with a clear endgame: design and deliver a fully embedded Finance GPO model and successfully transition ownership to permanent process leaders. This role will put you at the heart of shaping how Finance operates, with influence across Order-to-Cash, Procure-to-Pay, and Record-to-Report. You’ll work with senior leaders to build governance, simplify complexity, and enable global consistency.
