Summary: The Global Commercial Director for Capital Projects will support the Global Capital Projects Director and regional leads in implementing and governing project delivery processes globally. This role involves leading commercial strategies, improving margins, and standardizing delivery practices across regions. Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead commercial strategy, pricing frameworks, and development of project systems (e.g., Monday.com).
  • Implement best practices to improve margins, manage risks, and standardise delivery processes.
  • Develop and maintain global governance and operating procedures.
  • Provide commercial input into annual capital investment plans.
  • Drive global procurement and subcontracting strategies; implement standard contract documents.
  • Oversee Account Development Plans and identify organic growth opportunities.
  • Standardise financial and project performance reporting across regions.
  • Conduct internal audits and follow up on corrective actions.
  • Support bid preparation, commercial modelling, and regional tender submissions.
  • Train teams on new processes, contracts, tools, and systems.

Key Skills:

  • Degree in Technical, Commercial, Project Management or related field; 10+ years in senior commercial or PMO roles within FM Projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction procurement, planning, contracts, and project management processes.
  • Advanced IT literacy (MS Office, MS Project, project systems).
  • Experience managing contracts: £5m and project portfolios >£40m.
  • Proven background in governance, process development, and strategic procurement.

Main purpose of the position: Working within the Global Projects Team the Global Commercial Director is to provide support to the Global Capital Projects Director and the regional leads with implementing, governing and monitoring the consistent processes and governance for Project Delivery globally. Centrally supporting the delivery teams and providing the tools to manage delivery and minimise risks consistently cross accounts, opportunities of alignments and enable the region to provide project services to the same consistent high standard as the rest of the globe.
