Summary: The role of Contract Software Engineer involves enhancing and developing a flood forecasting pipeline while integrating a new model. Key Responsibilities:

• Enhance and develop software solutions to scale up the flood forecasting system tenfold.
• Collaborate with a dynamic team to design and implement a new forecasting model.
• Participate in occasional offsite meetings in Loughborough or London (travel and accommodation expenses will be covered).
• Ensure that software solutions meet functional and technical specifications.
• Interface with stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure high-quality deliverables.

Key Skills:

• Proficient in Python and AWS.
• Experience in GIS applications.
• Familiarity with Airflow is preferred.
