GIS Architect

Summary: The GIS Enterprise Solution Architect role focuses on leading the design and transformation of large-scale telecom network inventory platforms. This position is a 6-12 month contract that offers a competitive day rate and the chance to influence enterprise geospatial architecture within a significant transformation program. The role requires extensive experience in GIS architecture and solution design, particularly within telecoms.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and transformation of telecom network inventory platforms.
• Shape enterprise geospatial architecture across a major transformation programme.
• Engage with senior stakeholders and provide technical leadership across delivery teams.
• Design and deliver desktop, web, and mobile GIS solutions across on-prem and cloud environments.
• Integrate GIS platforms with OSS/BSS, asset management, and enterprise data platforms.
• Oversee geodatabase design, versioning, network rules, and data governance.

Key Skills:

• 10+ years' experience in GIS architecture and enterprise solution design.
• Strong expertise with ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Server, Portal, Data Store, and Web Adaptor.
• Hands-on experience with ArcGIS Utility Network Management, ideally within telecoms.
• Knowledge of fibre, coax, copper, and wireless network inventory models.
• Strong understanding of APIs, microservices, ETL pipelines, and event-driven architectures.
• Knowledge of Azure and/or AWS cloud environments.
