Summary: The Genomics Network Manager at the Nuffield Council on Bioethics will lead the establishment and coordination of a new genomics network aimed at addressing ethical and regulatory challenges in genomic research and healthcare. This role requires collaboration with diverse stakeholders to develop resources that promote responsible innovation in genomics. The successful candidate will have a strong background in research or policy development, particularly in genomics or related fields. This position offers a unique opportunity to influence ethical policy in a rapidly evolving scientific landscape.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establishing and managing a cross-sector network and working group of diverse stakeholders including researchers, clinicians, patients, regulators, and policymakers.
- Designing and facilitating stakeholder workshops and working group meetings.
- Conducting research and co-developing guidance on emerging ethical and regulatory issues.
- Managing relationships with commissioners, collaborators, and the wider genomics community.
- Translating complex issues into accessible outputs for policy, regulatory, clinical, and/or public audiences.
Key Skills:
- Strong experience in research or policy development, ideally in genomics or a related field.
- Proven ability to manage projects involving multiple stakeholders.
- Excellent communication skills to convey complex ideas clearly and persuasively.
