A leading global investment bank is seeking an experienced AI Engineer to drive the adoption of Generative AI and Agentic AI across its Global Markets and Operations functions. You'll play a key role in delivering scalable AI solutions that enhance trading operations, automate workflows, improve regulatory controls, and increase business efficiency.

AI Engineer (Python/Java): London (Hybrid) £700-900/day (Umbrella)

A leading global investment bank is seeking an experienced AI Engineer to drive the adoption of Generative AI and Agentic AI across its Global Markets and Operations functions. You'll play a key role in delivering scalable AI solutions that enhance trading operations, automate workflows, improve regulatory controls, and increase business efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement GenAI and Agentic AI solutions for enterprise workflows.
• Build AI frameworks aligned with governance, security, and regulatory standards.
• Develop intelligent automation to improve operational efficiency and productivity.
• Partner with business and technology teams to identify high-value AI use cases.
• Deliver scalable, cloud-native AI applications with a focus on measurable business outcomes.
• Contribute to AI strategy, architecture, and best practices across the organisation.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Strong development experience with Python and/or Java (C++ beneficial).
• Proven experience building Generative AI and Agentic AI applications.
• Experience implementing AI solutions within financial services or other regulated environments.
• Strong SQL skills.
• Cloud experience with Azure, AWS, and/or Snowflake.
• Experience with CI/CD and version control tools (Git, TeamCity or similar).
• Understanding of AI governance, prompt engineering, and LLM frameworks.

Desirable

• Experience supporting business-critical financial applications.
• Knowledge of trading, securities, or capital markets.
