Our client is seeking an experienced solicitor with the ability to conduct legal research and provide legal advice and guidance to parish and town councils on a wide range of matters, including governance, council procedures, electoral law, charity law, data protection and planning.
Candidates must demonstrate strong legal and research skills, with previous experience working for public authorities being desirable. The ideal candidate will be flexible and adopt a practical approach, recognising that clients are often small bodies that may require additional guidance and support.
This position can be offered on either a hybrid or remote basis, and the client is willing to consider both full-time and part-time requests. The successful candidate will join the organisation on an initial three-month locum contract, which will then be extended on a rolling basis pending permanent recruitment.
