Summary: The General Engineering Workshop Technician / Technical Engineer role involves performing diagnostics, repairs, maintenance, and calibration of equipment at the component level. The position requires supporting ground support equipment through various engineering activities while ensuring compliance with safety regulations and engineering standards. Key Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostics, repair, maintenance, modification, and calibration of equipment at component level using approved engineering standards.
- Support ground support equipment (GSE) through inspection, refurbishment, and maintenance activities in line with engineering guidelines.
- Conduct fault finding, testing, and reverse engineering, creating supporting engineering documentation and test procedures.
- Ensure accurate certification and condition assessment of equipment including serviceable and unserviceable status.
- Provide technical support, supervision, and training to junior staff and apprentices within workshop operations.
- Adhere to engineering governance, compliance standards, and safety regulations while meeting project timelines and operational requirements.
