  • 1st class English is essential; additional language skills are desirable.
  • Experience in the manufacturing sector is ideal.

About Our Client

To support our client’s global operations, they are looking for an ambitious and committed General Counsel for a predominately commercial role, but you will have oversight of litigation claims, competition law and other legal issues affecting their European operation.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Structure, negotiate and draft strategic commercial agreements including customer, supplier and distributor contracts.
  • Provide clear direction and strategic know-how to our client’s European leadership team on commercial matters.
  • Manage disputes and litigation to achieve a practical and cost-effective result.

Requirements:

You will be a qualified Solicitor with at least 8 years PQE, some of which will have been in a General Counsel or Deputy GC role. You will have excelled academically when achieving your law qualifications. Demonstrated experience in European corporate and commercial law. 1st class English is essential and additional language skills are also desirable. Ideally, you will be experienced in the manufacturing sector. Operating from a local manufacturing site, you will need to be prepared for significant travel.
