Summary: The GCP DevOps Engineer role involves working with a leading digital consultancy on a contract basis within the banking sector. Key Responsibilities:
- Manage GKE clusters and deploy workloads within the cluster.
- Utilize Istio service mesh features including authentication, authorization, load balancing, and routing.
- Implement Google Cloud offerings such as VPCSC, IAM, and project management.
- Automate infrastructure deployment using Terraform.
- Apply Kubernetes network policies, RBAC policies, and manage Kubernetes jobs, logging, and monitoring.
- Utilize CI/CD tools like Jenkins for continuous integration and deployment.
- Write scripts in Bash, Python, or Groovy.
Key Skills:
- Extensive experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Proficiency in Istio service mesh.
- Hands-on experience with GKE cluster management.
- Knowledge of Terraform for infrastructure automation.
- Experience with Kubernetes and its policies.
