Summary: The GCP DevOps Engineer role involves working with a large consultancy on a 6-month contract inside IR35, based in London. Key Responsibilities:
- Design, deploy, and manage GCP networking services in enterprise environments.
- Utilize core services such as VPCs, Cloud Interconnect, VPC Peering, Cloud Routers, Firewalls, DNS, Load balancers, Private Connectivity, and Cloud/Hybrid NAT.
- Implement infrastructure as code using Terraform.
- Apply practical DevOps experience with tools like Git, Terraform Cloud, GitHub, and Harness.
- Lead by example in code reviews, support colleagues, and resolve complex networking issues.
- Ensure security, compliance, and reliability throughout the service lifecycle.

GCP DevOps Engineer
My client, a large consultancy, is in need of a GCP DevOps Engineer for a 6 month contract opportunity inside IR35 based in London offering 2 days per week remote but requiring 3 days per week on-site.
The ideal candidate will have strong engineering experience with GCP networking in enterprise environments - including core services like VPCs, Cloud Interconnect, VPC Peering, Cloud Routers, Firewalls, DNS, Load balancers, Private Connectivity and Cloud/Hybrid NAT, Terraform expertise and experience deploying infrastructure as code, Practical DevOps experience using modern tooling (eg, Git, Terraform, Terraform Cloud, GitHub, Harness), Ability to lead by example - whether reviewing code, supporting colleagues, or resolving complex networking issues across production and non-production environments and Strong engineering discipline: designing, deploying, and owning services through their full life cycle, with security, compliance and reliability built in.
