Summary: The GCP Data Architect role involves defining data product architecture and roadmaps, collaborating with stakeholders to establish a target model backlog, and leading the architectural design process. Key Responsibilities:
- Define Data Product Definition, Architecture, and Roadmap.
- Collaborate with client stakeholders to define Target Model backlog.
- Lead the delivery of complete Architectural Design.
- Ensure designs align with relevant strategies, roadmaps, and policies.
- Support gathering of information requirements from IT and Business stakeholders.
- Simplify and de-risk the information landscape.
- Model information requirements for different stakeholders.
- Understand enterprise-wide information architecture and relate requirements to it.
- Define the information roadmap for the project and wider programme.
- Ensure consistent data design throughout phases and into build.
- Define logical data interfaces between systems.
- Aid in the physical design of data stores, interface files, or services.
- Ensure compliance with client Information policies and standards.
- Lead Architecture Committee governance approvals for artefacts.

UK Mortgages background experience will be good but not mandatory. Experience on GCP, Harness, Azure is also expected. Is able to support the gathering of information requirements from IT and Business stakeholders. Ensures the information requirements are realistic and achievable. Simplify and de-risk information landscape. Model the information requirements in ways that can be understood by different stakeholders. Understands enterprise wide information architecture and can relate the particular information requirements to it. Understands the strengths and weaknesses of the solution and takes the necessary steps to mitigate those weaknesses. Defines the information roadmap for the project and wider programme for the onward development of the solution. Understands the position of the solution within the wider application and information landscape, and works alone or with other architects to define how the solution is to be embedded in the landscape. Ensures the data design is consistent from the beginning, through the phases and into build by facilitating knowledge transfer to Engineering team and reviewing their downstream deliverables Will define, at the logical level, the data interfaces between systems. Will aid in the physical design of any data stores, interface files or services. Ensures that the solution is compliant to the clients Information policies and standards. Lead Architecture Committee governance approvals for artefacts.
