Summary: The role of Data Architect involves defining data product architecture and roadmaps, leading architectural design, and ensuring alignment with strategies and policies. Key Responsibilities:

  • Define Data Product Definition, Architecture, and Roadmap.
  • Collaborate with client stakeholders to define Target Model backlog.
  • Lead the delivery of complete Architectural Design.
  • Ensure designs align with relevant strategies, roadmaps, and policies.
  • Support gathering of information requirements from IT and Business stakeholders.
  • Simplify and de-risk the information landscape.
  • Model information requirements for different stakeholders.
  • Define the information roadmap for the project and wider programme.
  • Facilitate knowledge transfer to the Engineering team and review downstream deliverables.
  • Define data interfaces between systems at the logical level.
  • Aid in the physical design of data stores, interface files, or services.
  • Ensure compliance with clients' Information policies and standards.
  • Lead Architecture Committee governance approvals for artefacts.

Key Skills:

  • Experience with GCP and related technologies (Big Query, DataProc, etc.).
  • Proficiency in Python, Scala, Java, .NET, and ANSI SQL.
  • Knowledge of ETL processes and data architecture.
  • Experience with data modeling and information architecture.
  • Ability to gather and analyze information requirements.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools (Jira, Azure DevOps, etc.).
  • Understanding of enterprise-wide information architecture.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience in governance and compliance with information policies.
