Key Responsibilities
- Deliver and implement foundational services in GCP landing zones alongside Embedded Google architects
- Design and build Terraform-driven infrastructure across the GCP org hierarchy, including folders, projects, IAM policies, and networking
- Build and own CI/CD pipelines (via GitHub Actions) that deliver infrastructure and policy as code
- Own ongoing implementation of changes identified in the recent GCP architecture review
- Manage Shared VPC and VPC Service Controls to connect and secure GCP projects
- Build and deploy workloads across GKE, general compute, and Cloud Run
- Collaborate with the Network team on landing zone standards and Palo Alto Firewall integration
What You Will Ideally Bring
- Proficient, hands-on GCP Architecture experience across Shared VPC, Compute, GKE, and Cloud Run - GCP Architect Professional certified; must be GCP-first, not AWS-only
- Expert-level Terraform/Infrastructure as Code experience, covering org hierarchy, folders, projects, IAM policies, and networking
- Expert-level CI/CD pipeline engineering, able to build and own pipelines (GitHub Actions) rather than just consume them
- Proficient experience with landing zone delivery and runbook production - self-directed, comfortable implementing architecture-review changes and handing services to operations
- Strong working experience of advanced GCP networking constructs (VPC Service Controls, Network Connectivity Center, Private Service Connect) desirable
- AWS experience alongside GCP desirable, given the wider estate is mainly AWS
- Experience with GCP Data & Analytics and/or AI/ML services (BigQuery, Vertex AI, Dataplex) at platform enablement level desirable
