Summary: The Gas & Power Business Analyst role focuses on supporting the Energy Trading sector by leveraging expertise in Gas and Power markets. The position requires a deep understanding of energy trading dynamics, ETRM systems, and data management from exchanges. The analyst will play a crucial role in the organization's digital transformation and will work closely with offshore teams to enhance trading functionalities. This is a long-term contract opportunity with a strong emphasis on stakeholder communication and documentation skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and manage data from exchanges such as EPEX SPOT, EEX Futures, or Nord Pool.
  • Oversee ETRM product onboarding and setup of exchange-based products.
  • Facilitate trade capture, end-of-day output calculations, and market modeling.
  • Collaborate with offshore delivery teams to implement new functionalities related to trade volumes and Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs).
  • Guide clients through operational challenges and market shifts during IT infrastructure upgrades.
  • Document processes and improvements to ensure long-term sustainability.
  • Engage with stakeholders across the business to provide insights on Gas & Power markets.

Key Skills:

  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst in the Physicals or Derivatives Energy Trading domain.
  • Strong background in Energy Trading, specifically in Gas & Power.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience with ETRM systems and product onboarding.
  • Knowledge of curve setup, complex pricing, trade capture, valuations, and PNL.
  • Ability to identify process improvements and document them effectively.
  • Experience working alongside front office and risk teams to understand requirements.

Salary (Rate): 800
