Summary: The role of Domestic Gas Installation Engineer involves working as a self-employed subcontractor for a National Gas Heating contractor in the private sector, focusing on gas installations throughout the North East. The position offers long-term, ongoing work with guaranteed year-round opportunities, and the flexibility to work part-time or full-time. All necessary materials will be supplied, and payment is made weekly in arrears based on a schedule of rates. Immediate starts are available for qualified candidates.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform domestic gas heating installations, including combi swaps and conversions.
  • Work on-site with supplied materials and equipment.
  • Coordinate with joiners, builders, and electricians for non-gas works.
  • Ensure waste and scrap are collected and disposed of properly.
  • Maintain compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Key Skills:

  • Gas Safe Registration.
  • Domestic ACS qualifications including CENWAT, CPA1, CCN1, CKR1, HTR1.
  • Experience in domestic gas installations.
  • Possession of a calibrated flue gas analyser.
  • £2m Public Liability Insurance.
  • Clean DBS check.
  • Ability to work independently as a subcontractor.
