Summary: The FX Project Manager role involves leading the delivery of strategic initiatives within a global FX portfolio for a prominent financial services organization. This position requires strong expertise in FX, Front Office exposure, and a proven ability to manage end-to-end project delivery. The successful candidate will oversee multiple projects aligned with strategic objectives while ensuring effective governance and stakeholder engagement. This is a contract position based in London, requiring in-office presence three times a week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end delivery of FX initiatives across the Front Office
- Manage governance, reporting, risk, and stakeholder communication at programme level
- Oversee a portfolio of projects aligned to strategic objectives
- Drive new product development, transformational change, and regulatory initiatives
- Collaborate closely with Front Office, Technology, Risk, Compliance, and Operations teams
- Ensure initiatives align with the firm's FX strategy and control framework
Key Skills:
- Strong FX domain expertise within a Front Office environment
- Experience across the full FX product spectrum, including custody FX, currency overlay/currency management, direct dealing, and FX trading
- Proven track record delivering complex change initiatives within global markets
- Experience managing multiple concurrent projects or programme portfolios
- Strong governance and stakeholder management skills at senior level
- Experience working with proprietary Front Office platforms
- Exposure to vendor-led FX Front Office systems (highly desirable)
- Familiarity with downstream FX operations (beneficial)

Ideal Candidate
You are a delivery-focused Project Manager with deep FX knowledge and the credibility to operate in a Front Office environment. You are comfortable navigating complex stakeholder landscapes and balancing strategic oversight with detailed execution.
Broader markets or Front Office programme experience will also be considered where supported by strong FX exposure.
