Fund Finance/ Leveraged Finance Lawyer

We are seeking an experienced Fund Finance/Leveraged Finance Lawyer (7+ years PQE) for a 6 months contract role to join a leading international legal practice with a strong global footprint. This role offers the opportunity to work at the forefront of fund finance, advising high-profile clients across the UK, Luxembourg, the US, Asia Pacific, and key offshore jurisdictions. The team is recognised as one of the few market-leading fund finance practices worldwide. The team works on a broad range of financing structures, including subscription, NAV, pre-fund close bridges, end-of-life financing, co-investment, and management company financings. The client base spans direct lending, special situations, private equity, secondaries, infrastructure funds, and more. The role provides exposure to cross-border mandates and the chance to collaborate with colleagues in private equity, tax, and corporate teams across an integrated global network.

• Technical Ability
• Apply strong knowledge of fund finance and related legal principles, with an awareness of other practice areas.
• Lead on complex transactions with project management responsibility, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery.
• Stay up to date with legal and regulatory developments affecting the sector.

• Develop and maintain strong client relationships, providing tailored and commercially focused advice.
• Demonstrate an understanding of client businesses, sector trends, risks, and opportunities.
• Support business development initiatives and contribute to growing the practice.

• Act as a mentor and source of expertise for colleagues, supporting knowledge sharing within the team.
• Build strong internal relationships across practice areas and jurisdictions.
• Balance team collaboration with responsibility for managing an individual caseload.

• Contribute to practice development by aligning with business strategy and sector priorities.

About You

Qualified lawyer with 7+ years’ PQE in fund finance/leveraged finance (experience in a top-tier firm preferred). Strong academic record. Excellent drafting, communication, and analytical skills. Proven track record in handling complex fund finance matters. Strong relationship-building skills and a commercial approach. Ability to work collaboratively in a global team environment.
